This morning something amazing happened in church. People publicly disagreed on theology. The church did not split, or choose sides, and no one cried or yelled at each other.
I looked around this morning, and realized that I was right where I wanted to be. Truly I am falling more and more in love with the community that I am a part of every time I'm with them. I praise God for the wisdom and grace that He never ceases to rain down on this thirsty soul.
I know that I have said it before, but thank you- to everyone- for all that you have done for Adam and I.

Romance
Despite what Kara says, we have plenty of Romance in our lives. I have the pictures to prove it.
(She's going to kill me for posting this. It was nice knowing you all.)
Kara is looking across the street at this guy in his yard. That first picture got him all riled up. He started hollering and applauding at her. Then Kara said, "Adam, get the gun." It was probably the most entertainment he's had in a while.

Camping
Kara and I went camping last Friday night. It was Rachel's birthday. Rachel is Kara's present housemate. Some of Rachel's friends came all the way from Mississippi State to spend the weekend with her here in Birmingham. One of them turned out to be a great girl I knew back in my undergrad days at Auburn ... Amelia (sp?). So that was a pretty cool "small world" moment.
I discovered that Kara is really good at cooking hot dogs over a fire. And we discovered that I am not. However, I did build the fire. So there you go.
We cooked a few stick biscuits for breakfast. They were good. But it took way too long. Wish I had a picture of that. Here are a few pics we did manage to get.
Tyler is sporting his capris. I think Kara took this picture. Nice angle, Kara.
People are running from me. I don't know why. Something about the smell under my arms. I don't know. I couldn't smell anything. (in case you don't what I look like, I'm the one in the green shirt)
My dog on the left. My wife-to-be on the right.
Rachel the birthday girl on the left.
So that was one of our many adventures that we have every weekend. Tune in next time when we hear Kara say, "Adam, get the gun!"

welcome
I just made this blog. It's going to be full of exciting news about long walks in the park, candlelit romantic dinners, and all the other things that we can only blog about because we don't really do. Be sure to keep posted.
